throw your bae around without throwing your back out 😏
POUND CLUB was created specifically for the fruity babes who want to start strength training but don’t know where to start. This program is great for you if you:
🌈 are a total exercise beginner
🌈 are returning to exercise after a break
🌈 know your shit but love the accountability of classes
🌈 are sex and kink positive, and want your fitness to enhance your play!
Pound Club is NOT for you if you:
❌ are focused on weight loss or aesthetic goals
❌ don’t like innuendos and sex jokes
❌ are straight and boring, ew
The deets
This program is six weeks, from Aug 29th until Oct 5th. Every week there are two live classes hosted on Zoom, plus one solo workout delivered via email. The classes will be about one hour and they are recorded (to be shared with other Pound Club folks). You can absolutely have your camera off if you prefer, but cameras on is strongly encouraged for feedback on your movements!
CLASS TIMES
TUESDAYS 5:30pm PST/8:30pm EST
8/29, 9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3
THURSDAYS 5:30pm PST/8:30pm EST
8/31, 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5
The optional solo workout will arrive on Friday mornings and can be completed on your own time, whenever works for your schedule! This workout is a great opportunity to practice self-sufficiency in your movement routine.
Class size is capped at 12 people to keep classes small, so there is a limit on sign ups! If you know you’re going to miss more than 4 live classes, I recommend signing up for Pound Club: Recorded instead.
Equipment
For this program you will need access to dumbbells, ideally at least a pair of light, a pair of medium, and a single or a pair of heavy weights. How heavy depends on the individual, but as a general rule between 5-25lbs is usually good.
Adjustable dumbbell sets give you the option of making many different weights and can be a great space saving option. Different variations of exercises will be offered for different bodies and abilities, but building strength requires the resistance of weights so having those is non-negotiable! Other types of weights, like kettlebells, sandbags, etc. can be used instead of dumbbells.
As this program includes live classes, you’ll need to be able to workout at home or some other quiet, private space. Gyms generally do not allow you to work with other trainers in their space, so you will need explicit permission to do the classes in a gym.
Pound Club: RECORDED
Can’t make the class times but still want to get pounded? 😏 Sign up for Pound Club: RECORDED and get access to all the class recordings plus the solo workouts.
This is a great option for folks who can’t make the classes but who still want to get the guided workouts! Zoom links to the classes will be emailed out within 24 hours of the class (so plan to workout a day or two later than when the class is scheduled). You’ll also have the option to join a WhatsApp group chat for accountability, support, and feedback.
FAQ
I don’t have any weights, can I do this program?
Not really. I will offer bodyweight options in class, but to get the full strength benefits from the workouts you need the resistance of weights. Gym equipment can be expensive, so keep an eye on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, etc. for second hand stuff. Also considering asking your friends and family if they have anything you can borrow for 6 weeks.
I can’t make the class times, should I still sign up?
If you can’t make the live classes, sign up for Pound Club: RECORDED! Feel free to let me know what class schedule would work for you so I can keep it in mind for future rounds.
I can make some of the classes but not all of them, should I still sign up?
If you know you’re going to miss more than 4 live classes, I would recommend signing up for Pound Club: RECORDED instead and leaving one of the limited class spots for someone who can attend regularly.
How many spots are there for Pound Club?
There are 12 places in the live classes. There’s no limit on Pound Club: RECORDED.
Will you run this program again?
Yes! Either at the end of the year or early 2024.
I have any injury/health consideration, can I still join?
Maybe, but to be on the safe side please email me stevie@rockyour.fitness with more details so I can make a suggestion. This program is not especially high-impact and there will be lots of variations offered to make each exercise accessible for different bodies and abilities.
I’m not LGBTQIA+, can I join Pound Club?
This program was specifically created for folks who often do not feel comfortable in typical strength and fitness spaces, and who are comfortable and familiar with queer, kinky spaces. Anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ is welcome, including queer men. If you are a woman and an ally, you’re also welcome to join. This is not a program for straight cis men.
